Michael Beale is a man of many words but when he promised a different looking Rangers team next season, he wasn’t joiking.
Four new faces including Sam Lammers – with, at least, another three seemingly just around the corner.
Michael Beale was right, Rangers will look very different next season but how will he set us up and what will we look like?

Assuming that deals are done is never recommended, however, in this instance, Cyriel Dessers, Jose Cifuentes and Jonathan Panzo have all put pen to paper.
In terms of shape, I don’t think Beale will change too much despite having a busy transfer window.
How Michael Beale might set up new look Rangers
Panzo and Dujon Sterling can play in a back three, as can John Souttar, but I don’t think that will be a regular occurrence.
The Gers gaffer tends to make adjustments to his midfield, rather than his defence, depending on tactics.
Souttar is, arguably, our best defender and, if he is fit, I think he starts. Panzo is a natural lefty though.

Midfield is where there are more possibilities.
Michael Beale seems to be a big John Lundstram fan, however, when Tom Lawrence returns, we will have too much quality to justify picking the scouser.
A more energetic and dynamic side is what the manager wanted and Nicolas Raskin and Cifuentes would bring that alongside Lawrence’s experience and goal threat.

In the final third, a move for Luis Palma has gone quiet but in Todd Cantwell, we already have the perfect attacking midfielder who should be given a free role.
Sam Lammers is another who should be allowed to drift and interchange positions with Cyriel Dessers the focal point of the attack.
Possible departures and the opposition will dictate what our first XI will look like when the season kicks off but, as promised by the manager, there will be a lot of familiar names missing and plenty of new ones to cheer, moan at, or whatever you do every Saturday.
