Lyall Cameron might have signed a pre-contract with Rangers but the Scotland U21 star still has some unfinished business with Dundee.

Rangers announced a deadline day deal for the 22-year-old midfielder with Cameron set to join up with the Gers come the end of the season.

But before then Tony Docherty insists Cameron is fully focused on Dundee with plenty to play for between now and the end of the campaign.

Just days after signing for Rangers, Lyall Cameron also has the chance to make himself an instant hero as Dundee travel to Glasgow to face Celtic.

Rangers need favour from Dundee

Celtic are currently 10 points clear at the top of the Scottish Premiership but would go 13 points above Rangers with victory over Dundee at Parkhead.

The Gers’ disastrous away form this season has allowed their Old Firm rivals to open up a monumental gap which already looks insurmountable.

Rangers have once again offered meek resistance in the face of Celtic’s Scottish Premiership dominance and will need a perfect season from here on in to stand any chance.

The Gers also need favours from the other sides in the division and all eyes are on Dundee as Celtic look to overcome this latest test of their title credentials.

After this evening there will be 13 games and 39 points to play for and with two Old Firm games to come, Rangers need Celtic to start blinking.

Lyall Cameron has chance to be instant Rangers hero

Lyall Cameron has been one of Dundee’s most effective players this season scoring eight goals and laying on seven assists from midfield.

If the Dee are to take anything at Celtic Park, then they will need the likes of Rangers-bound Cameron at the top of his game.

Dundee are one of the Scottish Premiership’s most dangerous sides this season and have already taken points against Rangers and Celtic at Dens Park.

But Rangers fans will be hoping Lyall Cameron can lead Dundee to a shock result in Glasgow to hand his new club a glimmer of hope amid the smouldering embers of their title tilt.

If the kid can make a big impact in Glasgow’s east end tonight, he’ll have gone a long way to winning over Rangers fans without ever kicking a ball for the club.
