Rangers have been clear that the club needs to be bringing the best young Scottish talent to Ibrox.
Incoming Director of Recruitment Nils Koppen said as much in his Rangers recruitment plan.
With Rangers already investing in several young talents this summer, you’d have been forgiven for thinking the focus has shifted to more experienced options.
But there is one generational talent making his name in Scotland which has seemingly turned Rangers heads in the shape of Motherwell star Lennon Miller.
And now the teenage midfielder has been talking about his future with Sky Sports and claims his ex-pro father has been keeping him right amid all the chatter.

Miller talks future amid Rangers links
Lennon Miller was arguably the breakthrough star of Scottish football last season.
The Motherwell talent is the son of ex-Scotland international Lee Miller and despite being the tender age of 17-years-old, made a hugely impressive 32 appearances for the Steelmen in 23/24.
With Miller setting his sights on improved numbers from midfield next season, Sky Sports have been asking the kid about those links out of Motherwell.
Rangers have reportedly watched Lennon Miller this summer but for the time being, the kid is very happy exactly where he is.
“Obviously the transfer window is always going to come with rumours,” said Miller.
“For me personally I just kind of put it to the one side and I really love it here at Motherwell and they’ve gave me a platform to express myself.
“I just love it here and I’ll look to start the season well.”
When asked if Motherwell offers better first-team opportunities, Miller responded: “From when I was younger I’ve always wanted to play first team football.
“Motherwell gave me that opportunity when I was young and I want to show them why they showed faith in me and hopefully I can start the season well and we’ll see where that takes us.”
Motherwell star takes dad’s advice
With Lennon Miller’s dad Lee a former professional player, the kid has some solid experience to lean on in his family home.
Lee Miller carved out a solid career for himself north and south of the border, most notably playing with the likes of Falkirk, Aberdeen and Middlesbrough, and also earned three Scotland caps.
Lennon Miller was asked about taking advice from dad Lee – who was once the hottest young thing in Scottish football himself – and the former striker is keeping his son’s feet firmly on the ground.
“Obviously he’s had it in the past,” said Miller. “He’s passing on the experience just to kind of ignore it.
“To focus on where you are the now and on training every day and see where that takes us.”
Rangers have missed out on a host of young Scottish footballing talents in recent seasons – most notably Lewis Ferguson and Josh Doig – with Lennon Miller being the latest name linked to Ibrox.
