Hamza Igamane isn’t quite hitting his previous heights for Rangers but there is clearly a player there.
Igamane has just been called into the full Morocco squad for the first time but hasn’t scored for ten games domestically.
Tottenham were just one of the clubs linked with the Rangers striker in January after he scored against them when the teams drew 1-1 in the Europa League. Others like Newcastle and Everton were also strongly mentioned.
But Igamane insisted he is happy at Rangers for the time being as he sent a message to the clubs who have been dispatching scouts to watch him play recently.
Rather ironically, just weeks before taking the interim manager’s job, Barry Ferguson predicted Gers will make a small fortune off the 22-year-old who was signed for just £1.7million last summer.
With the summer window opening in just a few months, it would be no surprise to see clubs clamouring to try and sign Igamane again.

Africafoot are now reporting that La Liga giants Sevilla are interested in the former AS FAR forward.
It is claimed the Spanish side have sent scouts to Rangers games several times this season and their representatives have gone back to the club with glowing reports.
The report also claims Marseille are still interested in Igamane after previously being linked while the same can be said for Everton.
The striker has scored 13 goals in 35 games so far this season.
What Barry Ferguson said about Igamane before taking Rangers job
“In an ideal world, Igamane is the kind of player you build a team around for years and years to come,” Ferguson told the Daily Record. “But there has to be a sense of realism where the club’s current position is concerned.
“Rangers are a selling club. And, like it or not, that means they may soon be made an offer which they can’t possibly turn down.
“Just to be clear, I don’t think that’ll happen during the January transfer window. That would be way too soon. But, again, it’s important to remain realistic. And the realist inside me expects some big bids to start arriving over the coming summer.
“Let’s not forget, this is a kid Rangers signed for £1.5m. If someone out there is prepared to pay around £10m – or maybe even more than that – for him within 12 months, then that’s exactly the model Rangers need.
“The challenge at that point is to have already identified the next Igamane and to have him lined up as the Moroccan’s replacement.”
