Rangers are crying out for first-team reinforcements but there are just hours left on the clock to get deals signed, sealed and delivered.
It’s been a frustrating summer window for manager Philippe Clement and sporting director Nils Koppen with financial constraints limiting the Light Blues’ activity in the market.
Rangers have signed nine players so far but really need to make that double figures today if they are to compete for the Scottish Premiership title and in the Europa League.
Outgoings are required before Rangers can sanction incomings however so proceedings really could go down to the wire, with the window to close at 11.30pm for Scottish teams.
Scott Wright seems destined for Birmingham City while Todd Cantwell could be on his way to Blackburn Rovers after a fee of £600k was agreed.
But who could Rangers sign today to replace these guys? Rangers News lists three potential deadline day deals below.
Josip Brekalo from Fiorentina

Rangers are reportedly favourites to sign Josip Brekalo who has been informed he is surplus to requirements at Serie A side Fiorentina.
Brekalo has been linked with the Light Blues for much of the summer but reports have been intensifying as the window gets set to close.
If a deal was to be secured for Brekalo – who has also been linked with Celtic recently – then it would likely be a season-long loan.
Once worth £8.5m when he moved to Wolfsburg in 2016, Brekalo could be the man Rangers need to fill the left-wing void at the club.
Nedim Bajrami from Sassuolo
There could be two arrivals from Serie A today. That’s because Rangers are said to be in advanced talks to sign Nedim Bajrami from Sassuolo.
The Albanian may be familiar to fans who watched Euro 2024 as he became the fastest scorer in the competition’s history with a goal against Italy.
The deal is reportedly going to be a season-long loan with Rangers holding an option to buy the 25-year-old next summer.
Bajrami would be the man to replace Todd Cantwell as the club’s main No10. He is also capable of playing out on the wing if need be.

Ibrahim Adel from Pyramids FC
Perhaps the unlikeliest to come to fruition on this list is Egyptian winger Ibrahim Adel, who starred for his country at the Paris 2024 Olympics this summer.
His performances there clearly caught the eye with Rangers credited with an interest in the Pyramids FC star just this week.
However, sources confirmed to Rangers News on Thursday morning that Getafe are leading the race to sign Adel with Rangers lagging behind.
There is hope though. That’s because the Spaniards are said to be finding it difficult to cough up the £380k fee required to sign Adel.
Could Rangers force their way back in and revitalise their interest in the tricky and creative left-winger? All will be revealed today.
