Rangers will be tracking dozens of players for every position this summer with Kwame Poku one of several who will be considered for the wing.
Out of contract in the summer, the 23-year old has had an impressive season, despite a long-term hamstring injury.
Not only did Poku clean up at Peterborough United’s awards, but he was also selected in the League 1 team of the season.
Despite a record contract offer from Posh, they are resigned to their star man leaving and heading for pastures new.
Barry Fry has confirmed Rangers interest – as he usually does – but just how fierce is the competition?

Rangers face stiff opposition for Kwame Poku
According to Peterborough’s director of football, Poku isn’t going to be short of offers:
“I don’t exactly know, but I believe it’s true he has over 20 top clubs interested in him and that includes Premier League clubs,” Fry told the Peterborough Times.
There is a simple reason why, 20 goal contribtions in 27 league appearances alone make him one of England’s most wanted.
Having been capped once by Ghana, Poku will want to be playing at a level that gives him a better chance of international recognition with Birmingham City the most prevalent of his suitors.
Is Poku worth the gamble?
Rumours of £30,000 per week wage offer wouldn’t price Rangers out of a deal, however, for that sort of outlay – even without a transfer fee – Nils Koppen and Kevin Thelwell will be wanting a first-team ready regular, not a project player.
Poku has huge potential, but he isn’t tested at anywhere near the level that Rangers need their players to be capable of performing at.
Sometimes though, the level that a player is playing at doesn’t necessarily reflect their talent with Joe Aribo moving to Ibrox from League 1 for a development fee.
Already, it looks like it is going to be a long summer, and that is even before a new Rangers manager has been appointed.
