Hammarby sporting director admits Hampus Skoglund remains an important part of the team
Mikael Hjelmberg, the sporting director of Hammarby, has revealed that he has not heard about how serious the Gers or any club’s interest is in Skoglund.
He has claimed that he is in conversation with the 22-year-old’s agent, and what he is getting back from him is that there have been no concrete talks.
Hjelmberg has admitted that previously, talks have been concrete, but this time around, that is not the case.
How much should Rangers demand for Youssef Chermiti?
He scored 15 goals in his first season at Ibrox…
While directors may say such things in order to avoid selling players, he has also stated that Skoglund is an important part of the team and that he wants to keep the squad intact.
The Hammarby chief said: “I have no idea how serious it is because I haven’t heard a sound from there.
“The window hasn’t opened, but of course I have a fairly close dialogue with Hampu’s agent. But there haven’t been any concrete talks.
“Previously it has been concrete, but not this year.
“Hampus is an important part of the team.
“We have a very good squad and my goal is to try to keep that squad as intact as possible.”

Will Rangers continue their pursuit of Skoglund?
As per everything Rangers News can gather, the Swedish defender still remains on the radar of the Ibrox outfit.
Rangers are making a genuine attempt to secure the full-back’s services and could snap him up for a £3m fee.
There is a good chance that they can follow it up with a bid if they feel that conversations with the right-back are going well.
If things do not work out, the Light Blues may even switch their focus, as there is plenty of time to move to another transfer target.
