Rangers are “not willing” to meet Nottingham Forest’s current demands over Jonathan Panzo, potentially explaining a hold-up in any transfer.
According to Mail Plus, Rangers do hold an interest in the 22-year-old centre-back, who spent last season on loan at Coventry City in the English Championship.

But the report suggested the two teams remain quite some distance apart in terms of valuation with Rangers seemingly unwilling to budge on Forest’s asking price.
The report also makes mention of previous Rangers interest in Arsenal centre-back Auston Trusty, which reportedly ended in similar circumstances earlier in the summer.
The Ibrox side have been extensively linked with a move for Jonathan Panzo all summer long, with the interest even being confirmed by Fabrizio Romano throughout the last few weeks.
However, the transfer journalist claims that Rangers will face competition from England and Germany for the player’s signature, something which backs up reports the deal is anything but done.
Rangers hit Jonathan Panzo price snag
Rangers have already been plenty busy in the transfer market however, with the club’s first four signings already in the door and several expected to follow in the coming days and weeks.
Whilst there remains doubts over the likes of Jonathan Panzo, Rangers have already secured moves for Kieran Dowell (Norwich City), Dujon Sterling (Chelsea), Jack Butland (Crystal Palace) and Sam Lammers (Atalanta).
Rangers are also being very closely linked with moves for Ecuadorean international midfielder Jose Cifuentes, Cremonese striker Cyriel Dessers and Brighton attacker Abdallah Sima.

With Jonathan Panzo the most heavily linked centre-back of the bunch – and with Michael Beale having worked with the England youth international at Chelsea – perhaps Rangers can strike a deal soon.
If the Ibrox side’s chief negotiators struggle to do so, then the hunt for a new centre-back will continue with Rangers refusing to budge on the transfer demands of two Premier League clubs.
