Rangers have been linked with numerous players in this transfer window but only Ridvan Yilmaz has seen his name mentioned as a possible departure.
The 22-year old left-back has been impressive in his last couple of appearances but Gers boss Philippe Clement is clearly looking at other options for his squad.
Galatasaray have been credited with having made official contact with Rangers and Turkish journalist Ahmet Selim Kul has claimed that they are interested but that they will have competition for Ridvan Yilmaz’s signature.

Rangers might have Ridvan Yilmaz decision to make
The diminutive defender, who has six caps for Turkey, physically, just doesn’t seem like a good fit for Scottish football but there is no doubting his ability as a footballer – when he is fit and has a run of games.
Speaking to The Rangers Review, Kul explained what might happen in the coming weeks:
“I can say Galatasaray have really serious interest, but I believe that Besiktas also will join this race.
“If Ridvan decides to return to Turkey, I think his first choice will be Besiktas.”
What Rangers are looking as a transfer fee for Ridvan Yilmaz is unknown.
A £3.4m fee was paid to Besiktas for his services but, as we have seen with the Josh Doig to Marseille story and his valuation, the going rate should be higher.
What his last two performances have shown is that, if a club isn’t willing to meet our valuation, Philippe Clement should be happy with what he has, the player has also intimated that he doesn’t want to return to his homeland.
There is no point selling a player below his market value to then pay more for a player who isn’t as good.
Doig is going to be sold by Verona for circa £5m, is he a better player than Ridvan?
Not for me.
The only asset he has that Ridvan doesn’t is that he is 6ft 2inches tall.
As many a wise manager has said in the past – football is played on the ground.
The priority should be coming out of the window stronger than when we went in, if Ridvan Yilmaz is still at Rangers when it shuts, then we have to trust that Philippe Clement has made the right decision.
