Bojan Miovski is a striker of ‘supreme quality’ but Aberdeen’s chief executive Alan Burrows is not expecting the Scottish Premiership frontman to join Rangers in the January transfer window.
Despite Philippe Clement’s very public desire for a new centre-forward, Bojan Miovski already felt like, if not Mission Impossible, then Mission Improbable.
According to the Scottish Sun, there is interest from Rangers. But with Aberdeen holding out for a Premiership record fee of at least £4.5 million, the expectation is that the Gers will shift their focus to more affordable options, such as perhaps Kevin van Veen or maybe Hearts’ Lawrence Shankland.
Burrows, speaking at the club’s Annual General Meeting, is pretty confident that Miovski will be one day be banging in the goals at a higher level. But the chief executive remains convinced that the 24-year-old will still be plying his trade at Pittodrie come February 1st.

Rangers like Aberdeen striker Bojan Miovski
“We are in no rush to sell Bojan Miovski,” Burrows explains, via the Glasgow Times.
“Aberdeen have a player trading model that requires you, at times when it suits you, to sell. However, that has to be at the value you believe is right for the club.
“Bojan has demonstrated this season and last season he is a striker of supreme quality and I’ve no doubt is going to have a fantastic career at the very top level.
“I can’t give any assurances because I don’t know what any other club is going to do. We are not actively seeking to sell Bojan as we go into the January transfer window.
“Our anticipation is Bojan will be here for beyond that period. He is good enough to play in the top five leagues in Europe, and I think his value will be demonstrated when we do sell him, that’s the level he goes to.”
Clement wants a new striker at Rangers
Miovski has scored 11 goals for a struggling Aberdeen side this term. He looks well placed to exceed his tally of 18 from 2022/23.
Rangers, meanwhile, appear to have lost Danilo for the forseable future due to a serious knee injury.
