Chris Jack has issued an update on Rangers signing Tottenham attacker Mikey Moore in the summer transfer window.
Rangers want to sign Moore for next season, but the decision lies with Spurs, and as things stand, they are in no position to give a definitive answer.
They are still unsure if they will play in the Premier League next season and are currently two points off safety.
Will Rangers re-sign Mikey Moore for the 2026/27 season?
His silence when asked about a return speaks volumes…
Chris Jack believes Rangers could look to sign Mikey Moore late on in the summer transfer window
Rangers Review journalist Chris Jack does not see Moore being with the Light Blues’ first-team squad for pre-season.
He claims that any deal to sign the 18-year-old attacker would hinge on which European competition the Gers are playing in.
It would also depend on Tottenham’s future and whether or not they can envisage handing the teenager regular minutes.
Moore failed to give a definitive answer when he was asked about a potential Ibrox return for next season, as things are not currently in his hands.
Will Rangers sack Danny Rohl if they fail to win the league?
If he goes, who would be a good replacement for him?
Rangers are expected to keep pushing all through the summer and may look to sign him come the end of the transfer window.
Moore would cost over £30m to sign permanently, but the Gers are exploring a loan move for him.
Jack said on YouTube: “I think that will be a late one. I don’t see that being one that Rangers can do early on in the window, in terms of we don’t know what European competition they are going to be in yet.
“But by the time you come back for pre-season, I don’t expect Mikey to be in that squad.
“I think that’s one that Rangers will have to kind of keep chipping away at over the course of the window and one they can maybe do late on.
“It’s not his call, at the end of the day. Spurs will decide what’s best.”

Why re-signing Moore is important for Danny Rohl
Moore brings pace, directness and a goal threat from wide areas to this Rangers side.
It took him a while to adapt to a new league, but he has shown that he thrives with the added responsibility.
He understands Danny Rohl’s system and is one of the first names on the team sheet for the German.
Signing another wide player would once again see Rohl having to give him the time to adapt to a new league.
It is important to have someone who’s already acclimatised himself to the system and the league, and that takes the pressure off the recruitment team as well to sign someone as good or better.
