Reported Rangers target Nicolas Raskin has reportedly taken a decision on his Standard Liege future amid links to Ligue 1 and the likes of Marseille and Toulouse.
The Belgian U21 international midfielder, 21, is out of contract in the summer and due to a stand-off over a new deal has been banished to the Belgian Pro League side’s reserves by ex-Celtic boss Ronny Deila.

The stand-off has resulted in a pretty ugly public discourse and whilst it looks certain the player will now leave Standard, reports are now suggesting Nicolas Raskin won’t be coming to Rangers.
Rangers-linked Nicolas Raskin “clear” he wants Ligue 1 move
At least that’s according to the likes of the Herald, who’re claiming that the Gers are set to be disappointed with the midfielder’s heart now set on a move to France and Ligue 1.
They’re claiming that Raskin has “made it clear” that he wants to play in Ligue 1 with Marseille and Toulouse reportedly making enquiries for the player ahead of the January window.
Clubs could sign the midfielder on a cut-price fee in January rather than wait to pick him up for nothing in the summer and according to the report, Raskin’s ex-Standard boss Phillipe Montanier could be a key factor in a potential move to Toulouse.
Ligue 1 pair Nantes and Reims are also mentioned as Nicolas Raskin suitors and Rangers fans will be bitterly disappointed to miss out on a player who is clearly highly-rated across Europe.
The Gers reportedly came close to signing Nicolas Raskin in the summer amid strong interest from Ligue 1 side OGC Nice in Finnish international Glen Kamara.
But after a deal to take the Rangers star to the continent collapsed on deadline day, so did any prospective move for Nicolas Raskin.
Since then Rangers have been routinely mentioned as a potentially interested party in the player and the news of Raskin’s Ligue 1 links comes at an interesting time at Ibrox.
Rangers boss Michael Beale hinted that the club are on the hunt for a midfielder as he lamented the loss of yet another key Ibrox star this season in Steven Davis.
But could a £9m fringe Premier League midfielder prove a solution in the position?
