Rangers-linked Nicolas Raskin has furiously taken to social media as Standard Liege reportedly ban the player from training amid a contract stand off.
The Belgian U21 international has been extensively linked to Ibrox since the summer and his current contract in Belgium is set to expire come the end of the season.

Rangers even reportedly came close to signing Nicolas Raskin the summer but after the proposed transfer of Glen Kamara to OGC Nice fell through, so did the move for the Belgian.
It’s meant for a very interesting few months for the midfielder who will soon be free to discuss terms with other clubs away from Standard Liege.
That stubbornness to sign a new deal has finally reached a head too, with Standard reportedly banishing Raskin from first-team training.
This hasn’t gone down well in the player’s camp either, with Nicolas Raskin taking to social media to furiously complain about a lack of respect.
Rangers-linked Nicolas Raskin rages over Standard demotion
On Saturday, the player wrote: “When respect is no longer served, you have to know how to leave the table. Very disappointed, but not surprised.”
However, as reports spread of the Rangers-linked player deciding to leave Standard, Nicolas Raskin has moved to clarify the comment on his Instagram story.
Insisting that no decision on his future has been taken and that the post related to the decision to relegate him to the reserves, Raskin writes:
“My impulsive message born of sadness and deciption on Saturday suggests that I have decided to stop my adventure at the switchboard.
“It’s wrong. This message was written after the decision of the direction – a decision which you did not know – pour me in the nucleus B.
“My disagreement with the current direction is much more complicated and wide than a salary amount. I do respect their decision but regret that they are trying to make it a matter of salary. This is not the case.
“And I demonstrated it again this summer, not wanting to leave the Standard who wanted to sell me to one of the top-3 clubs in Belgium. I am very sad about the turn my adventure is taking with the club of my heart.”
Whatever the case, the situation certainly doesn’t look like a happy one for Nicolas Raskin or Standard Liege and we wonder if Rangers might look to profit on it in January.
Meanwhile, Rangers have set a return date for a key Ibrox star.
