Andy Halliday and Derek Ferguson believe Rangers star has played his final game at Ibrox

Andy Halliday and Derek Ferguson are in agreement over a big-name Rangers exit this summer as Derek McInnes plans a squad rebuild.

Several players have left and five new names have arrived, but plenty of work is still left to be done in terms of incomings as well as outgoings.

Rangers players are currently in pre-season training, and while McInnes‘ focus is on coaching, he certainly will be involved a lot in the squad planning.

If Lewis Ferguson joins post the World Cup, who should Derek McInnes name the Rangers captain?

Andy Halliday and Derek Ferguson expect Nicolas Raskin to leave Ibrox

Ferguson and Halliday both do not see Nicolas Raskin playing another game at Ibrox next season.

The 25-year-old is a man in demand, and his stock has only risen since the start of the World Cup.

The fact that he has managed to bench Kevin de Bruyne shows you just how important he has been for the Red Devils.

Nicolas Raskin has been linked with a Rangers exit…

Ferguson saw his move to Rangers as a stepping stone, to begin with, so it does not surprise him that he could be leaving.

Halliday told Open Goal: “He’s played his last game for Rangers. There’ll be a few Premier League (clubs), I think.”

Ferguson then responded: “He’s wanted all along since he joined Rangers. It was a stepping stone. Ranger supporters shouldn’t take that as an insult because that does happen.”

Can Rangers realistically get over £25m for Raskin?

Hull City’s bid for Raskin was around £14m, and that was unsurprisingly rejected by the Light Blues.

Even before the World Cup, Rangers rated him higher than that, but now, following his performances for Belgium, his value has skyrocketed.

This is ideal for the Ibrox outfit as they view the 25-year-old as one of their biggest assets.

If Rangers are to sell Thelo Aasgaard, how much should he be sold for?

They will not want to lose him, but he probably feels that this summer is the right time to make his move.

Rangers will not stand in his way, but will look to spark a bidding war for him, and there is a chance they get over £25m if there are multiple Premier League clubs involved.

Hull may also return with a bigger bid, and there could be clubs in Europe willing to take a punt on him as well.
