Rangers race for a new striker appears to have settled on two names in recent weeks as Nils Koppen spends every working hour trying to sign much needed quality.
Hamza Igamane is said to be close to being announced with the noise surrounding Albion Rrahmani not quite as loud.
What might speed up the process is Cyriel Dessers having several suitors with Rangers tipped to be successful in their chase for Rrahmani, but on one condition.

Albion Rrahmani tipped to be Rangers success
The Kosovo international has just returned to pre-season training so will be in good shape if Philippe Clement gets his man with the 23-year old not letting transfer speculatoin disctract him:
“I am ready, we want to give our best in the training camp.
“I didn’t have a very long vacation, but I relaxed. I feel very good physically. I had a good first interaction with Neil Lennon.
“We have high expectations from next season, we have a good team. If we don’t have any more bad luck, I think we can win a trophy.
“I’m still here, I want to prepare, my focus is on Rapid. I’m not disappointed that I haven’t left yet, I’m a professional and I give 100% wherever I am.”
Rapid Bucharest were said to want £6.75m for their star man, however, speaking exclusively to Rangers News, Romanian journalist Emanuel Rosu has claimed that the fee is significantly lower:
“Rhamani is a fox, a very good striker with big potential.
“If Rangers pay the money, they can have him, Rapid want £5m for him.
“He would do well at Rangers.
“He’s a very good striker, dangerous everywhere, inside the box, outside the box.
“A lot of clubs are interested, I’m surprised he is still at Rapid.
“I’d see him in Italy, he could do a job there.”
Rangers can’t make the transfer mistakes of last summer
Albion Rrahmani has improved every season that he has played senior football, is 6ft 2 inches tall and can score with either foot or his head.
As Rosu says, he is ‘dangerous everywhere’.
With 17 goals and five assists in 25 league games, Rrahmani is a prolific number nine capable of fitting in with any type of system.
He isn’t just a target man or one-touch finisher, he can link play and drop deeper or run the channels if he has to.
For £5m, especially with the interest in Dessers, Rangers should be looking to get a deal done.
Last summer it was Petar Ratkov and Nikola Krstovic, this summer it could be Rrahmani, a talented young striker only heading in one direction.
Hopefully, Rangers don’t make the same mistake again.
