Rangers made a rather inauspicious start to the new Premiership season, mustering a 0-0 draw against Heart of Midlothian at Tynecastle.
Philippe Clement was looking for a positive start to the new season as his Rangers rebuild continues.
That didn’t quite materialise though as Rangers managed just three shots on target from 63% of possession.
Toothless doesn’t quite cut it and Rangers simply will not win the title without improved attacking displays.
Some of his does fall at Clement’s feet; we are still yet to see Rangers with a defined attacking approach under the Belgian.
Rangers do though need to find another attacker and investment in a goalscorer must be a priority in the coming weeks.

Albion Rrahmani latest
Cyriel Dessers is a wanted man having failed to really convince Rangers fans in just over a year at Ibrox.
Hearts striker Lawrence Shankland wants to move to Rangers according to Chris Sutton, but Rangers may look further afield.
Albion Rrahmani has been linked with Rangers for months now having hit 18 goals in 28 games for Rapid Bucharest last season.
The Kosovo international only joined from FC Ballkani last summer but is now a wanted man.
ProSport in Romania now claim that Rangers are ‘preparing to make an offer’ for Rrahmani.
They claim that Rapid originally wanted around €8million (£6.8million) for Rrahmani this summer.
The report adds that Rapid’s demands are now €6million (£5.1million) plus a 20% sell-on clause.
It’s highlighted that Rrahmani is currently out injured but a deal can’t be ruled out just yet.
Rapid would want to keep Rrahmani at least until January but a hefty offer from Rangers could spark a deal.
Rrahmani price tag confusion
This is the latest in a long line of claims surrounding just how much Rrahmani will actually cost this summer.
Rapid Bucharest president Viorel Moldovan suggested in July that the minimum fee for Rrahmani would be £4.2million.
We have to take those comments at face value but perhaps he would seek add-ons to take the deal up to the £5.1million now being mentioned.
Either way, Rrahmani would be a significant investment for Rangers and one with considerable risk.
Rrahmani has spent just one year in Romania and was playing in Kosovo before that switch, so splashing upwards of £4million on him may be a risk.
Rangers have to weigh up the options; the tried-and-tested route of Shankland with limited resale value or the riskier import in Rrahmani, who could become a star and bring in big cash down the line.
Saturday’s display means attacking options are an absolute must and with less than a month of the window to go, Rangers need to get moving.
