There is a feeling that Rangers are currently on the start line with the foot on the accelerator, but with the handbrake still on.
The release will be the announcement of the 49ers Enterprises completing their takeover along with Andrew Cavenagh and the appointment of a new Rangers manager.
Davide Ancelotti is the favourite and would be a sizeable coup given the gravitas of his name and some of the clubs that he has worked at.
Until things start to move though, there is a feeling that everything is on hold, including the preparations for next season and the signing of new players.
Several players have been linked but Craig Moore is still concerned.

Craig Moore wants clarity so that Rangers avoid more mistakes
Speaking on the Go Radio Football Show on the 13th of May, the Hall of Fame former skipper has a few questions:
“What is happening with our club? Where are we? You’ve got Barry (Ferguson) every week now saying, decisions need to be made.
“Every pundit’s been saying it. Who’s staying? Who’s going?
“Where are you going in pre-season? You’ve got a 40 million quid Champions League campaign starting in a couple of months’ time. And just as importantly, Paul, who are you trusting to spend your money?
“If there’s any money available. We don’t even know what the financial situation is if the takeover doesn’t happen. So who are you trusting to spend your money?
“Because what you don’t want, you can’t have more Jefte’s or Propper’s or guys like that coming in.
“Bajrami, can I mention him?
“Bajrami.
“Stinking.
“Stinker. Absolute stinker. So, who are you trusting to spend your money?”
Are the three players named good enough for Rangers?
Moore is right, there are several players who clearly aren’t good enough to be at Rangers.
Nedim Bajrami and Robin Propper haven’t adapted to Scottish football or playing for Rangers despite having sold reputations before signing.
Jefte has shown glimpses of what sort of level he could get to and wouldn’t have been expected to play as many games as he has done, also, he is still massively inexperienced in terms of exposure to playing under pressure.
Those are the signings that Rangers need to get right this summer, the guaranteed starters, the experienced players who will guide the youngsters and who can be relied upon on a weekly basis.
With an extra year at the club and with the help of Kevin Thelwell, there can’t be any excuses for Nils Koppen.
