As the Rangers transfer reports ramp up heading into a busy summer, we’ve singled out five links which look to already be the most credible heading into the window.
The Gers have already been linked with a whole host of names heading into a busy summer where Michael Beale reckons there could be as many 12 new players coming into the club.

But so far there are only five which appear to represent genuine interest or which have appeared to snowball in the last few weeks and months.
Whilst the likes of Jose Cifuentes and Jonathon Panzo are interesting links, amid much competition there hasn’t been much movement and whilst they still might end up in light blue, it’s five other Rangers transfer reports which are piquing our interest.
Whether or not you reckon these five are strong enough to take us to the next level, we’ll let you make your own mind up, but these appear to be the targets which have the most credibility and viability.
GK – Jack Butland
Rangers have been extensively linked with a move for Jack Butland as his contact ticks down at Crystal Palace and his loan move at Man Utd comes to an end.
A former England international goalkeeper, the move would be with a view to replacing Allan McGregor and most Bears believe Butland is a solid option between the sticks.
CM – Kieran Dowell
Another out of contract player plying his trade down south, Norwich City midfielder Kieran Dowell is another whom recent transfer reports claim is closing in on a move to Rangers.
The central midfielder is currently laid up with an injury, but is well known to Michael Beale from his time at Ibrox give Dowell was reportedly a target under Steven Gerrard.
CAM – Malik Tillman
Currently on loan at the club from Bayern Munich, Rangers are known to be keen to make the Malik Tillman deal permanent with a figure of £5m being banded around in the press.
Some Ibrox fans have their reservations, but Gers interest in the 12-goal attacking midfielder could be taken out of their hands with Bayern Munich hoping to run the rule over the American in the summer.
RW – Morgan Whittaker
After a series of failed January bids for the Swansea attacker, it’s clear that the forward is a player Michael Beale really likes and the latest suggests Rangers will return for Morgan Whittaker this summer.
Showing explosive form for Plymouth in the first half of the season, chances have been at premium back in Wales, something which will raise doubts about a switch to Glasgow.
LW – Luis Palma
Rangers have been linked to a host of names in Greece as the club apparently watch games up and down the country, but none of the links are as concrete as the Rangers transfer reports around Luis Palma.
The winger has netted 13 times for Aris this season and has been the subject of regular links, with one Greek journalist appearing to confirm Rangers interest in this potential Ryan Kent replacement.
