Norwich manager David Wagner has provided an update on his squad amid Rangers links to midfielder Kieran Dowell.
The Ibrox side are set for a summer of substantial player turnovers with manager Michael Beale admitting that as many as 12 players could be replaced when the upcoming window opens.
Kieran Dowell has been extensively linked to Rangers over the last few weeks with the former England youth international midfielder well known to the Ibrox coach.
Linked during the tenure of Steven Gerrard during his time at Everton, Norwich star Dowell is out of contract at the end of the season and reportedly closing in on a move.
Alongside former England international goalkeeper Jack Butland, the move would represent a bright start to a key window for Rangers as they look to start mounting a consistent challenge against Old Firm rivals Celtic.

Now David Wagner – who has previously claimed he wants to keep Kieran Dowell at the club – has taken a barb at those footballers who’re likely to leave Carrow Road at the end of the season.
The German manager certainly comes across a little salty as he claims that those who’re set to vacate the Canaries don’t have the required quality to take them to the next level anyway.
“There is potential in this group. I think everybody can see the individual potential as well,” David Wagner said.
“But it’s a big, big difference between potential and quality. You can have potential but if you don’t show it consistently this means we miss the quality. And this is exactly what we have to make sure doesn’t happen.
“We either get that consistency from these players or else add the guys who are able to consistently show their potential and quality. This is what we are working on. To have both.”
David Wagner hasn’t been able to use Norwich City midfielder Kieran Dowell as of late due to a knee injury, with that very typical of a Rangers signing as of late.
