Rangers fans have gone wild on Twitter after the club shared an image of Niko Katic back at Auchenhowie for pre-season.
Katic missed the entirety of the 2020/21 season due to a serious knee injury, spending much of the campaign in Croatia recuperating from procedures and doing rehab work.
He returned to Glasgow in time for trophy day, though, and did some individual work during a training session at Ibrox the day before.
Showing impressive work ethic, he continued his strength and conditioning grind even whilst on holiday and he recently made it clear that he’s now fit and raring to go [tportal].
Chances for the 24-year-old defender to impress beckon over the coming weeks after multiple pre-season fixtures were confirmed, but on the first day back, it was all about gym work and running.

On Monday night, Rangers tweeted an image of a smiling Katic with his arms spread wide entering the gym at Auchenhowie, alongside the caption: “Rangers are back. We’ll have exclusive behind-the-scenes access to the Rangers Training Centre every day as Steven Gerrard’s side prepare to build on the fantastic success of last season.”
Katic has been a fan favourite pretty much ever since he joined the club from Slaven Belupo in 2018 and supporters are excited to see him back in action.
