Rangers predicted XI vs Ross County: Philippe Clement makes double attacker decision ahead of Spurs and Celtic

Rangers travel to Dingwall to take on a Ross County side with one win in their last five games but who are close enough to still be pushing for a place in the top six.

A congested Scottish Premiership table only needs a team to go on a run of a few wins to climb up the league and Philippe Clement will be hoping for his third win in a row to keep the pressure on Aberdeen.

Not only this, but the manager knows that he can’t afford to slip up again if he wants to keep in distant touch with Celtic and this is who he should pick for Rangers to get the job done against Ross County.

Rangers predicted XI vs Ross County

The only debate in defence just now concerns the right back position currently occupied by James Tavernier.

With the Premier Sports Cup final on the horizon, Dujon Sterling looked like he was Clement’s first choice only for an irritating nerve problem to see the skipper get his place back.

Two good performances and three goal involvements later and it looks like some time on the bench as lit a fire under the Rangers No.2

In midfield, the Nicolas Raskin/Mohamed Diomande pairing looked like the most balanced of the season against Kilmarnock.

If Clement wants to rest Raskin, he should do it by bringing Connor Barron off the bench.

Should Clement keep Hamza Igamane in Rangers XI?

In the forward line, Ianis Hagi’s return has had the sort of impact that makes his absence from the Europa League squad a sore one to take.

With Hagi and Danilo unable to play against Spurs, they should both be playing against Ross County before lining up at Hampden next weekend to face Celtic.

Clement looks to have found the answer domestically, why change it when he doesn’t have to?

For Hamza Igamane, just let him play, either on the left or through the middle, it doesn’t really matter.

When a young player has the level of confidence that the Moroccan has, playing games is always more beneficial.

As with Raskin, if Clement wants to rest him, do it early in the second half.
