Philippe Clement is thankful for all the help that he can get as he continues to fight for his job at Rangers.

The performance against Kilmarnock is a start, however, the manager still has a long way to go to turn fan opinion around that he is the right man to bring success back to Ibrox.

One player who has been instrumental in the recent improvement has been Ianis Hagi, who is fast becoming Rangers most influential player.

Ianis Hagi runs the show for Rangers

The Romania international drifted between the No.10 area and the left-hand side of the attack and had two key passes and two assists with an 86% passing success rate.

What was really impressive, is that Hagi’s two assists came with either foot.

Posting on Instagram, the 26-year old kept it simple by proclaiming, “onwards and upwards”.

Danilo, who looks equally as sharp now that he has had a run of games, replied to Hagi’s post with, “player”.

A sentiment every Rangers fan can agree with just now.

Can Hagi be the main man for Philippe Clement?

Clement cut a frustrated figure in the summer, having to make do without Hagi or Todd Cantwell, but is clearly delighted to have the former available now:

“Ianis is an interesting player because he can play the three positions, he can play on the right, he played a lot on the right with the national team also,” praised the Rangers boss.

“He can play at ten and he can play on the left and he can give crosses with both feet. So I’m really happy that he’s now in my selection.

“That was something that was not in my force at that moment, to have him in the selection or not, because of the situation that I talked about already before.”
