Rangers may look to offload Greg Stewart during the January transfer window, with the attacker now well down the pecking order at Ibrox.
Steven Gerrard has already predicted that this window will be more about moving players on than bringing them in [RangersTV] and having played just 113 minutes of first-team football this season, Stewart looks a prime candidate for a departure.

The 30-year-old is a versatile operator, capable of playing out wide, as a second striker or as a centre forward.
However, with Kemar Roofe, Alfredo Morelos, Cedric Itten, Ianis Hagi and Ryan Kent amongst those also available for those roles, he hasn’t been able to find a route into the side in recent times.
Across the curtailed 2019/20 season, he made 25 appearances in all competitions, featuring in just over half of Rangers’ Premiership fixtures.
His involvement has noticeably dropped off this season, though. To date, he’s only made four appearances, with his two Premiership outings lasting a total of five minutes.
The most recent of those came at Hamilton in August and he has only made the matchday squad for one of the Gers’ last 12 league fixtures.
At this point, it’s clear that Stewart doesn’t feature in Gerrard’s plans and the only question that remains is whether he will leave this month or when his contract expires in the summer.

Stewart’s performances at Kilmarnock during the first half of the 2018/19 season, during which he scored eight goals and contributed a further seven assists, show that he’s capable of shining at Premiership level and it’s likely that several clubs will be interested in picking him up in January.
Rangers will be eyeing a six-figure fee but given the financial strain the majority of clubs are currently under, they might not be able to get it.
Perhaps the most likely scenario is the player leaving on loan with a view to a permanent deal in the summer, much like Jamie Murphy’s current situation at Hibernian.
Rangers reportedly have their eye on several players with similar contract circumstances to Stewart and two of them scored in midweek as their performance levels lift with the January window looming.
