When Jordan Jones signed on the same day as Glen Kamara in January, it was the former we expected to go on to better things at Ibrox.
Yet, after a deal was agreed to get Kamara to Govan sooner, the player is proving to be worth his weight his gold. And that’s before he’s had a full season at the club.

Could Jordan Jones potentially do the same? He’s certainly got all the attributes to do so.
A highly rated player amongst both his teammates and those who’ve faced him, Jones is a direct, tricky winger who plays with energy and passion.

His performances in the last international break for Northern Ireland earned him rave reviews. Steve Clarke also appears that upset about his impending transfer to Rangers that he’s leaving his best player out of the Kilmarnock side.

This is a player who is clearly valued by those he plays with. Rangers too have often lacked that directness in a player who can take responsibility and grab the game by the scruff of the neck.

Jordan Jones proved against Rangers in January that he can be that player.
If he can do that consistently he’ll not only earn the adulation of the Rangers support, but he may well prove himself to be one of the finest signings of Steven Gerrard’s tenure.
