Rangers summer recruitment under Michael Beale has come under criticism in recent weeks and, in particular, the signings of Cyriel Dessers and Sam Lammers.
The forward pair, who cost in the region of £7.5m, have scored just four goals between them all season and have failed to hit the ground running.
If Rangers had prepared better rather than letting Michael Beale have sole control of the transfer budget then alternative options to Cyriel Dessers and Sam Lammers might have been signed.

Rangers could’ve done better than Cyriel Dessers and Sam Lammers
We had been linked with plenty of forwards during the window but there were two names who seemed to be more exciting.
Benie Traore and Nikola Krstovic.
The two forwards moved onto pastures new in the summer with 20-year old Traore going to Sheffield United and Krstovic, 23, signing for Serie A outfit Lecce.

Rangers needed an Alfredo Morelos replacement and Dessers is supposed to be exactly that, however, Nikola Krstovic’s blistering start in Italy suggests that he would have been the better option.
Four goals in seven league games has seen him linked with Serie A royalty already and for around £3.2m, Rangers have seriously missed out.
Traore’s move to the Premier League hasn’t quite gone to plan and moving to a side that was always going to struggle seemed strange for such an on form player.

With 12 goals in 14 games in Sweden before he moved to Yorkshire, Traore would have been the perfect option ahead of Lammers for a similar fee.
Both players would bring more pace to Rangers attack than Cyriel Dessers and Sam Lammers and would have sell on value too.
As it is, Michael Beale has left £7.5m worth of not very much that his replacement will have to try and get a tune out of.
