Rangers will have a busy summer on and off the pitch with a rebuild in the board room and another transfer window of turmoil too.
The next Rangers manager will inherit a mixed bag in terms of players with the 11 on international duty capable of contributing.
There will need to be more space cleared off the wage bill for new faces with big earners and non-contributors taking up a locker in the Auchenhowie dressing room that could be put to better use.
Nils Koppen is working his way through the mistakes of the past and moving these players on will be his hardest job – as it was last summer when just £800,000 was made on five players.
One such player is Rabbi Matondo who Rangers shouldn’t have any problems selling, given his claim to fame.

Rapid Rabbi Matondo has unique selling point for Rangers to sell
Matondo scored his first Wales goal during this international break in which was a dream come true for the 24-year old.
It’s been a long time coming for a player who was tipped for the top as a teenager and commanded a £10m transfer fee.
One of the reasons Matondo was so in demand is the fact that he is one of the quickest players around.
Speaking when he was first called up for Wales, Matondo explained just how rapid he was:
“We did fitness tests, 20m sprints and other things as well. It turned out my time was the fastest in the academy and it later came out it was the fastest in the whole club,” Matondo told WalesOnline, putting Kyle Walker, Raheem Sterling and Leroy Sane to shame.
“As you know there’s some really fast players at Manchester City. I’m not really bothered about it, but of course everyone’s going to talk about it. There’s nothing I can do about that.”
How many games has Matondo missed for Rangers?
Pace is always an attractive asset for technical directors looking for a new winger and Matondo has it to burn.
The problem is, like a sprinter, it doesn’t take much for his body to break down.
Every season since signing for Rangers, Matondo has missed 20, 19 and 23 games.
By the time takes to regain match fitness and consistency and another 10 games can be added onto each of these totals.
Koppen will look to gloss over the injury issues and sell Matondo on what he is good at and what he is capable of.
If Matondo’s £1m transfer to Hannover hasn’t already been agreed that is.
