Philippe Clement hailed the mentality of Cyriel Dessers after his crucial goal against Olympiacos.
The Rangers enigma had a performance that summed up his time at Ibrox, frustrating for large spells by missing chances and generally lacking in his all-round play.
But then he popped up with one brilliant moment, a really well-taken goal that took all the calmness and composure that had deserted him at other points throughout the game.
It earned Gers a valuable point in a game they definitely did not deserve to lose and is yet another big moment for Dessers.

McCoist lauds Dessers Rangers finish
After being played through, the big Nigerian was being tracked by home defender Panagiotis Retsos.
But as Retsos dived in, anticipating he would have a block to make, Dessers coolly touched it round him as he slid across before aiming a perfectly placed shot across the goalkeeper and into the far corner.
Coisty is a man who has done that sort of thing more than a few times and he was enjoying what he saw from the current number nine.
Admitting it was poor defending, he was still effusive in his praise.
Speaking live on TNT Sports commentary, he said: “That’s a tremendous finish, I need to say. Absolutely poor defending from Retsos diving in like that, that’s shocking.
“That said, the composure after it from Dessers was excellent, just side-steps the defender, gives the goalkeeper the eyes and goes back across into the far corner. That is a lovely finish.”
McCoist enthused by Rangers performance
It wasn’t just Dessers who impressed the Rangers legend as the former striker was chuffed with the whole team and their efforts.
He insisted they got what they deserved by taking a point and singled out midfielder Nicolas Raskin and Connor Barron for particular praise, again highlighting Dessers too.
He said: “It’s been a great performance from Rangers. They could have buckled after losing the goal to El Kaabi but they didn’t.
“I think it has been a first class performance against a side who can play better and we’ve seen them play better, we mentioned that beforehand.
“But take nothing away from the Rangers performance. I thought the two lads in the middle of the park, Raskin and Barron, I thought they were absolutely outstanding, I thought they were terrific.
“And Dessers, you know, he gets his fair share of criticism but he takes his goal exceptionally well. It’s a well-earned point and a deserved point.”
