Rangers have confirmed that it will be the Umbro badge and not the Castore badge which adorns their legendary shirts from next season.
But whilst Castore will move into the background of production, the Manchester-based retailers will remain key players at Ibrox given they have the license to produce Umbro gear in the UK.
For a similar reason, England Rugby will move from Umbro to Castore next season.
Rangers fans are split on the Umbro move but the famous old English retailer has supplied some of the Ibrox side’s most iconic jerseys over the years.
But what about Castore? Here we rank the top 10 Castore kits as their five-year spell as the club’s retailers prepares to come to an end.

10 – Rangers FC Third Kit 21/22
Kicking things off is this famous lilac effort from Castore’s second season at Rangers, a throwback to the famous purple Adidas kit from 1994/95.
From the moment this kit launched it polarised supporters – the Gers forced to launch it early ahead of a Champions League qualifier with Malmo – and it very much falls into the category of love it or hate it.
9 – Rangers FC Home Kit 23/24
The famous Rangers blue home kit with white shorts and black socks is synonymous with the Ibrox club and last season’s jersey certainly deserved better.
A lighter blue shade with faded pinstripes on top of the jersey, the subtle red inlays on the collar produce a beautiful, clean-cut jersey and one of Castore’s best offerings.
8 – Rangers FC Third Kit 24/25
Castore have tried to be experimental over the years but none more so than in the shape of this season’s modern and creative dark blue/red offering.
The distinctive ‘Rampant Lion’ pattern and bold colours make for an aesthetically striking jersey which is another which polarises supporters. The white collar really makes it pop.
7 – Rangers FC Home Goalkeeper Kit 21/22
We couldn’t do a list of Castore’s greatest jerseys without including a goalkeeper kit; we wouldn’t want to upset Allan McGregor after all.
But of all their offerings, normally yellow or orange, the yellow 21/22 jersey with a grain colour-wash pattern is a stand-out and we reckon it’s fit for an Ibrox number one.

6 – Rangers FC Away Kit 22/23
Castore have largely stuck to white away jerseys ever since producing Rangers kits and this throwback effort features a diagonal red partition which produces a bold and distinctive kit.
This is far and away the best kit of the 22/23 season and one of Castore’s best offerings overall. It channels the spirit of Dado Prso circa 06/07.
5 – Rangers FC Anniversary Kit 21/22
Castore have produced a number of special fourth kits and anniversary kits but none were as popular or as striking as the special Anniversary kit from 21/22.
An all-white jersey in homage to the Gallant Pioneers, the buttoned collar, reimagined original Rangers badge and clean style make this one of the retailer’s best efforts.
4 – Rangers FC Third Kit 23/24
As far as creative kits go, Castore hit every marker with this beautiful orange and blue Rangers third kit from the 23/24 season.
The centre crest, the blocks of orange, the clean cut vertical lines. If any Castore kit goes down in Rangers history stylistically, it may well be this one.
3 – Rangers FC Home Kit 21/22
Rangers’ special commemorative Home Kit from 21/22 was a stunning blue effort with pinstripes and gold inlays which celebrated the club’s 150th anniversary.
It’s the jersey worn en route to the Europa League Final and the first time Castore abandoned the famous five stars above the Gers crest. It’s a kit associated with heartbreak, but it’s a beauty.
2 – Rangers FC Away Kit 24/25
Rangers might have flopped on the pitch this season but the club’s white away kit with an old-style Rangers crest and faded pattern is a showstopper.
Aesthetically, it might be Castore’s best jersey with the bold blue on the collar, cuffs and sponsors really making the white pop. Shame we’ve barely seen it in action.
1 – Rangers FC Home Kit 20/21
Castore’s first ever Rangers kit, ironically, is indisputably its finest effort. Why? Because this is the jersey we wore when the club lifted 55.
After years of tumultuous retail dealings, this jersey signified a new era at Ibrox and after record sales, Rangers went on to be crowned Scottish champions for the first time in a decade.
