Rangers have been linked with a move for Southampton youth player Thierry Small, currently on loan at St Mirren.
The 18-year old left back has played 14 games for the Buddies after arriving in January and Michael Beale is said to be an admirer.
Signed for £5m from Everton as a 16-year old, Thierry Small is now said to be a summer target for Rangers, according to Wayne Vasey at Football Insider.

As recently as this January, the report claims that Tottenham Hotspur had made an offer for the England youth international.
A fee of £800,000 rumoured to be short of the £1.2m Southampton were looking for.
Do Rangers need to sign Thierry Small?
It is a position that Rangers are currently strong in with Ridvan Yilmaz excelling in Borna Barisic’s absence.
Ben Davies and Adam Devine can also cover if needs be and B team skipper Robbie Fraser has just signed an extension to his Rangers contract.
Any new additions in this area would suggest that there could be a departure or two, especially if we are paying a seven-figure fee.
It might not be a lot of money for Premier League teams but, it would be a strange decision for Rangers to pay this sort of fee for a backup.
Not only that, if Rangers did sign Thierry Small, he would be a backup to a player who has only just turned 22.
Vasey claims that Small can play at left wing-back or even as the left-sided centre-half of a three man defence.
At just 1.77m tall though, I’m not sure that he has the physicality to mark the likes of current teammate Curtis Main or Rangers-linked Kevin van Veen.
In a summer where money could be tight, this sort of cash could be better spent topping up bids for much-needed forwards rather than missing out on top targets.
Small, as talented as he might be, simply isn’t a priority positon.
