Michael Beale will be looking to add new players all over his squad in the summer but he shouldn’t be ignoring the likes of Robbie Fraser in Rangers the academy.
The B team skipper has had a solid season for the young Gers and has contributed with two goals and seven assists across the different levels of competition.
Robbie Fraser has yet to make an appearance in the first team, however, he has been on the bench for Rangers in the Champions League.
A new contract that takes the 20-year old up until 2024 gives the youngster another year to impress.

Third in the queue behind Borna Barisic and Ridvan Yilmaz, Fraser has a tough job on his hands to see any game time under Michael Beale.
Croatian international Barisic has just one year left on his contract though so a summer departure could open the door for Fraser.
With Ridvan not being much older than the Gers kid, patience might be a virtue for the home grown product if he is to make the position his own in the future.
Robbie Fraser should be the future of Rangers
Fraser, as with Adam Devine is a solid, if unspectacular player.
He’s comfortable on the ball, positionally sound and is capable of doing shuttles all game, a necessity for a Rangers full back.
Signing players like Jack Simpson and Brandon Barker has to be a thing of the past and players like Fraser should be used more often by Rangers.
The fourth choice player for any position should never be an overpaid senior professional and this is where the academy comes into it’s own.
Fraser, Devine, Leon King and Alex Lowry can lead a group of youngsters who could be trusted to step up when relied upon.
We will always see more of what they are capable of if they are given the opportunity in a first XI rather than in the early rounds of the cups when it is usually a random mix.
Like his former B team colleagues though, if Fraser is given a chance, he will have to impress – you rarely get more than one chance at Rangers.
