STV journalist - "Don't 'rule out' late Rangers move for attacker"

Renowned STV journalist Raman Bhardwaj has told Rangers fans on Twitter that they cannot “rule out a late move” for another player, most likely an attacker.

The Scottish reporter was discussing Rangers future transfer plans with the club yet to find an alternative to window-long target Ryan Kent.

The tweet has naturally dredged up questions about Kent’s future, but for Rangers, and Raman, it’s very much a case of wait and see.

Steven Gerrard reiterated yesterday that he would “love” to make Kent a part of his team [Rangers] but that Liverpool still haven’t budged on their decision on the player.

Ryan Kent has also been said to have his “heart set” on a move to Ibrox [Sky Sports] amid interest from Belgium and France.

With the news that Jake Hastie is set to go out on loan [Sky Sports] – and the likes of Jamie Murphy seemingly some way off the first XI – there is space for another forward player.

Brandon Barker has also picked up an injury, which leaves Sheyi Ojo, Jordan Jones, Greg Stewart and Scott Arfield as the club’s options in those positions.

At the moment, it all comes down to Liverpool and their position on last season’s SPFA Young Player of the Year.

According to STV journalist Raman Bhardwaj, Rangers could yet make a move for another attacker. What a transfer window we’ll have had if it’s Kent.
