Rangers boss Steven Gerrard has reiterated that the ball is in the Liverpool court with regards Ryan Kent – but that Rangers would “love to have him” at Ibrox.
Speaking to the press ahead of Rangers top-of-the-table Old Firm clash with Celtic, it’s also the last time reporters will be able to ask Gerrard about potential incomings and outgoings at Ibrox.
And whilst Gerrard reiterated that his side’s best players will be going nowhere, he also repeated what he’s said all along about Ryan Kent.
“Nothing’s changed on the Ryan Kent situation,” explains Gerrard.
“Again, we’d love to him here. Liverpool’s stance hasn’t changed on the Ryan Kent situation.
“We move on and we move forward unless we were to get a phone call on that situation, it’s as it was.
“Everyone knows what we think of Ryan Kent and how much we’d love to have him here.”
Following Rangers’ qualification for the Europa League and the subsequent millions it rakes in for the club, there has been real hope Rangers could move for Kent.
But as it stands Rangers clearly cannot deal for the player on the current terms Liverpool are putting forward.

Unless that changes, it looks like Rangers won’t be making a move for the player.
