Steven Gerrard hopes to have Charlton youngster signed-up in time to join the Rangers squad on their pre-season trip to Portugal this weekend, according to reports.
The Scottish Sun’s Andy Devlin claims that both Rangers are desperate to get both the Aribo and Edmundson deals done in time.
Last season’s Spanish training camp proved to be all-important in setting Steven Gerrard’s side up. This season’s excursion to Portugal promises to be no different.
The Rangers gaffer will be looking to put his side through their paces in a serious of gruelling physical and tactical work-outs.
This is also where the Ibrox gaffer will make a decision on players currently at the club.
If Gerrard can get these two deals over the line before the squad jets off, it allows them to integrate with their new teammates in a productive environment and get onside with what Rangers are trying to do.

According to the Evening Standard, he is returning to Charlton on Friday to tell Addicks boss Lee Bowyer his decision in person.

From here, the final details of his move to Rangers will be finalised and hopefully, he can make the squad who fly out to Portugal.
As for George Edmundson, Rangers are said to have “won the race” for the player’s signature.
