Steven Gerrard has suggested that Rangers could only make one more signing in this window – and that he’d be happy about it.
Whilst the promise of season ticket cash was expected to be spent [Rangers.co.uk], Rangers have really resisted splashing large sums of money on players.
It’s to Gerrard’s credit he’s signed so much talent on cut-price fees. And the Gers boss told the Evening Times his squad is now approaching its full complement.

“I’d be quite happy to go with what we’ve got if we can get another centre-back in,” said Gerrard.
Whilst the Rangers gaffer has been known to keep his cards close to his chest when it comes to transfers, it certainly appears that Rangers are shaping up for the season ahead.

The vast majority of Rangers signings have come in the final third. Jordan Jones, Jake Hastie, Greg Stewart and Sheyi Ojo have all be signed with the intention of unlocking stubborn defences.
There remain question marks over Rangers’ move for Ryan Kent, with the latest reports suggesting Liverpool want to sell and don’t want to loan the player.

Gerrard also reiterated in the interview that he’s under no pressure to sell star men, Alfredo Morelos or James Tavernier.
