Rangers manager Steven Gerrard believes there will be clubs lining up to sign Ryan Kent, as the Gers boss opens up on the competition Rangers face to sign the winger.
The former Liverpool captain also offered advice to Kent, suggesting he should go where he will be “happy”. Gerrard clearly believes that can be at Ibrox.
But he knows the decision lies with the player himself. And that the 22-year-old will have no shortage of suitors.
“Ryan knows we want him but we have to be respectful that the kid has a big decision to make,” said Gerrard, as quoted by BBC Scotland. “I’m sure there are clubs queuing up for him because he’s a top player.
“He has to think, ‘Where am I going to be happy playing football? Who do I want to share a dressing room with? Who’s going to help me enjoy my football?’”

The Gers boss said he hopes the winger will feel happiest at Rangers and choose to extend his Glasgow stay a little longer.
Ryan Kent has never hidden his fondness of playing for Rangers, even saying moving to the club this summer remains a “possibility”.

Whatever happens, Gerrard believes there’s a top player in Kent and that clubs will be lining up to sign the winger in the summer.
