Rangers target Ryan Kent has revealed that he intends to leave Liverpool in the summer and wants to move somewhere that will “kickstart his career”.
The talented winger has been the subject of much speculation surrounding his future. And whilst the player maintains moving to Ibrox is a real possibility, he is determined to find a winning formula in his next move.
The player wants to be pushed to win trophies and sees Ibrox is a strong option in doing that. He is also sick and tired of being farmed-out on loan season after season.

“I want to kickstart my career somewhere now. I’m tired of changing clubs each year and want to settle down,” said Kent, as quoted in the Daily Record.
“Liverpool have been good to me but going back there each year and doing well in pre-season and then going back out on loan is a repetitive cycle.
“Rangers is something being discussed right now and something I’d consider. I’m considering many things after this season.
“If I get opportunities during the summer I’d want a club with ambition, that’s driven with its fans to win silverware.
“Ultimately the best players are winners with a winning mentality. I feel I have that and Rangers are pushing for that silverware.”
Kent a superb prospect – but still has space to develop
The flying winger is currently on the PFA Award shortlist and it’s a testament to what’s been a superb season for the player. Kent has looked every inch the reported £12m talent he was touted as earlier in the season.
But there remain elements of Kent’s game where the 22-year-old still needs to improve. He hasn’t provided enough goals and assists over the piece, and if he can do this he’ll be a very dangerous player.
The good news for Rangers fans is that Kent values the impact the coaching team have had on his development at Ibrox. Rangers really could be the best place to help him reach that potential in his career.

“Steven Gerrard has provided opportunities for me. I could have gone to other clubs last summer but I wouldn’t have had the chance to play in the Europa League,” said Kent.
“I’ve felt comfortable here, I’ve felt at home. The coaching staff and manager have found areas in my game to improve that other managers haven’t.
“That’s no disrespect to them but I’ve really enjoyed myself on and off the pitch and that’s been a massive factor in my performances.”
