Former Rangers winger Ryan Kent looks set to be joined at Fenerbahce by Ajax icon Dusan Tadic following his quick fire release from the Eredivisie giants.

The Serbian international attacker, 34, has been pictured in Istanbul as he negotiates a move to the Super Lig giants after five years in the Dutch capital.

The Fenerbahce move for Dusan Tadic comes after the player negotiated a release from his Ajax contract this week, the Dutch club agreeing to a personal request from the attacker for whom they signed an £11.5m deal with Southampton for in 2018.

With the proposed switch to Fenerbahce edging closer, Dusan Tadic will be joining up with former Rangers star Ryan Kent in Turkey, as well as beaten Champions League finalist Edin Dzeko.

The big Bosnian striker, 37, has moved to Fenerbahce after the expiration of his contract at Inter Milan with the former Man City frontman theoretically set to lead a three-pronged attack alongside Kent and Tadic.

Whilst both Dusan Tadic and Edin Dzeko might be edging closer to the twilight of their careers, throwing in 27-year-old Ryan Kent brings an extra dimension to quite an exciting attack in Istanbul next season.

Having finished second in the Super Lig last season, Fenerbahce are set to play Champions League football and it’s a potent blend of experience and talent which could turn a few heads.

After being tipped for the heights of the Premier League whilst at Rangers, both of these additions perhaps validate Ryan Kent’s initially surprise decision to head out to Turkey.

It’s not only in attack that Fenerbahce have been reinforcing their side either, with Strasbourg defender Alexander Djiku and Eyupsor striker Umut Nayir also joining on free contracts.

The Turkish side have also reinvested some of the €20m (£17m) raised from the sale of Arda Guler to Real Madrid by splashing €9.75m (£8.3m) on Polish playmaker Sebastian Szymanski from Dynamo Moscow.
