Premier League outfit Burnley are proving that they were right to keep a hold of reported January Rangers target Matej Vydra.
The big Czech striker hit his second goal in as many games as the Turf Moor club comfortably ran out 3-0 winners at home to struggling Bournemouth.
A reported £11m signing from Derby County back in the summer of 2018 [Daily Mail], the powerful forward is beginning to show his worth down south.
His strike against Bournemouth comes after Vydra lashed in the winner away to Southampton last week [BT Sport].
The big striker took it down on his chest before knocking it past a defender and hitting it high into the Saints net.
Rangers were linked with a move for Vydra [Glasgow Times] on deadline day of the January transfer window.
The Czech international striker was being primed as a replacement for Jermain Defoe.
The veteran Rangers forward has picked up a calf injury which means he will be ruled up for four-six weeks.

However, with Rangers hoping to complete a loan move for the player Burnley are said to have pulled the plug because they didn’t have enough time to find a replacement [Chris Boden].
The Ibrox side moved for Florian Kamberi of Hibs instead with the Swiss/Albanian forward now the 3rd choice striker in the southside of Glasgow.
