The Rangers Academy and Rangers U18s continued their superb form this season as the group trounced their Hibs rivals 8-1.
In a resounding display by the young Gers, the side completely dismantled their Edinburgh opponents.
Young winger Josh McPake opened the scoring from 18 yards out after a neat combination between Nathan Young-Coombes and Kai Kennedy.

It was Nathan Young-Coombes too who got the second. One of the stars of the ALKASS Cup win, Young-Coombes continued his fine form in this match.
Ciaran Dickson made it 3-0 with a smart turn and finish after work from Nathan Patterson and John Balde.
And that man Young-Coombes had Rangers flying at half-time who’s second goal and the side’s fourth made sure his side was comfortable.
Rangers ruthless from beginning to end
But it wouldn’t stay that way for long after the restart. Kai Kennedy – the MVP at the ALKASS Cup – made it five.
Hibs would pull one back but it just seemed to anger Rangers more. They were utterly ruthless and took full advantage of Hibs in the second.
Ciaran Dickson, who had a particularly superb game, got his second and Rangers sixth as Hibs’ resolve was broken once and for all.
The man who set Dickson up, John Balde, got a goal of his own not long after to make it seven. Balde was recently called up to the Portugal U18 squad during the recent international break.

And he showed why again as he teed up Matty Yates for the eighth and final goal of the match. Rangers eventually ran out resounding 8-1 winners.
Results like this are a testament to the outstanding pool of youth talent currently at the club. It’s a very exciting time for the Rangers Academy both on and off the field. And not just for the Rangers U18s.
Many thanks to @rfcyouthupdates for their coverage of the match.
