If Celtic captain Scott Brown is considering coming out of retirement should Scotland make the Euros, there’s a Rangers star who might have something to say about it.
In cheeky comments, Brown suggested that he would “never say never” to the possibility of returning to the national side.
The only thing is he’d have to somehow work his way into an immensely competitive midfield which contains Rangers’ Ryan Jack.

The midfielder has staked his claim for a regular starting berth with Scotland after the recent international break.
Unlike Scott Brown, Jack described it as a “no-brainer” [Scotland NT] when he was asked about being called up for his country.
Brown – who captained Scotland and earned 55 caps for the country – retired from international duty in February 2018 to focus on his Celtic career.
The suggestion that the rest of the country’s players could work to get Scotland to Euro 2020, only for Brown to sneak in after the hard graft is done, won’t sit right with most fans.

At 34, it remains a real improbability that the Celtic captain could somehow sneak his way back into the national set-up for the international tournament, should Scotland make it.
But even if he could, would Rangers midfielder Ryan Jack really be willing to give up his place without a fight?
