In an international break where three Rangers stars qualified for Euro 2020 and one broke his international scoring duck, there’s still a case for Scotland midfielder Ryan Jack having amongst the best fortnights of any in the Ibrox squad.
Yes, Glen Kamara, Filip Helander and Borna Barisic will all be at the summer’s tournament. Alfredo Morelos is even underway in his quest for goals for Colombia.
But Rangers midfielder Jack may well have just secured his place in the Scotland side for the foreseeable future.

Prior to the spate of Premier League call-offs in the squad – which included midfield rival Manchester United’s Scott McTominay – Jack was a fringe player in the Scotland side.
Indeed, the international break has seen him double his cap total from two to four in a matter of days.
But it is the strength of the Ibrox midfielder’s performances against Cyprus and Kazakhstan which stand him in the best possible stead.
Scotland won both matches with Jack in the middle and his performance brought a unified reception from many Rangers and Scotland fans.

As former Rangers striker Kenny Miller suggested, the spot should now surely be Jack’s to lose.
Going by his club form for Rangers, don’t bet against him claiming it as his own ahead of March’s Nations League playoff.
