Rangers have not had their injury problems to seek over the last three years with some players more seriously affected than others.
The Ibrox club have been unable to get several in their team consistently fit enough to contribute and it remains a source of immense frustration for supporters.
But whilst the likes of Oscar Cortes, Rabbi Matondo and Tom Lawrence continue their own personal, long-term battles with injury, one major talent in the club’s academy also can’t shake the curse.
Now, after only just returning to action following consistent problems over the last 12 months, nerves surround Zak Lovelace after the teenager sustained yet another injury problem.

Zak Lovelace returns to Rangers B team
Rangers fans had only just begun to get excited about the presence of Zak Lovelace in and around the Rangers B team.
The 18-year-old striker is considered one of the brightest prospects in the club’s academy and was handed a chance by Steven Davis against St Mirren in October last year.
After a bright start, Lovelace eventually went off stretchered in Paisley and since then the striker has toiled with injury problems.
After suffering yet another setback in his recovery, Lovelace looked to be getting back to his old self in October when he turned out in a resounding B team victory.
A watching Philippe Clement even instructed Lovelace to be subbed off ahead of the Europa League clash with FCSB a couple of days later.
The striker eventually came off the bench in the 4-0 Europa League win at Ibrox as he steps up his return from injury for the Ibrox club’s B team.
But just as Lovelace looked set to make an impact on Philippe Clement’s squad, fears are rising over a fresh injury problem.
Young Rangers striker goes off injured
That’s because Zak Lovelace went down injured in the B team’s eventual 3-1 Glasgow Cup victory over Clyde.
The talented striker was eventually subbed off in the 35th minute of the match after receiving lengthy treatment.
Whilst there has been no official update on the young striker’s situation, the news that Zak Lovelace had to go off early v Clyde will be a blow to Rangers fans.
The club’s supporters are in desperate need of some fresh enthusiasm from the academy to be jolted through the team and Lovelace is a player of great promise.
Now, the Rangers medical staff will assess the striker’s situation in the coming days with fans nervously awaiting an update.
Zak Lovelace joined Rangers as a 16-year-old from Millwall in 2022 and has gone on to make five appearances for the Ibrox club’s first-team.
