Rangers have made their seventh signing of 2019 after they snapped up England youth international Nathan Young-Coombes.
The 16-year-old had been on trial with the Rangers Academy. He featured in the young Bear’s 4-2 win over Rapid Vienna’s youth side.
The former Chelsea and Crystal Palace academy starlet has signed on at Ibrox until 2021.
Nathan Young-Coombes joins a host of very talented young players at Ibrox. We’ve already seen that there is a clear path to the first team at the club. Young players will get a chance at Rangers.
Under Gerrard this season, the likes of Jordan Houston, Serge Atakayi, Stephen Kelly and of course Glen Middleton have made their Ibrox bows. Rangers also recently tied down the future of top club prospect Dapo Mebude.
Academy graduate Ross McCrorie has also developed into an important squad player at the club. His goalkeeper brother Robby is another who is said to have a bright future.

Naturally a forward, Young-Coombes has featured for the English national team at U15 level but is yet to take the step up to U16s.
His signing shows how seriously the club take the development of young Rangers players. Over the course of the next five years, we can expect to see some real talent blooded at Ibrox and it’s an exciting time for supporters.
By signing Nathan, the club very much believe he can be a part of that.
