Rangers may well rue missing out on ex-Aberdeen midfielder Lewis Ferguson as the midfielder continues his fine Bologna form with a goal v Juventus.
The Scotland international, 24, opened the scoring at the home of the Turin giants by finding the bottom corner of the net following a one-two at the edge of the box.
The goal opens Ferguson’s Bologna account for the season and continues the fine form that the Rangers fan midfielder has been displaying since moving out to Italy last season.
Whilst Serbian striker Dusan Vlahovic would later rescue a late point for Juventus, Lewis Ferguson got his eighth Serie A goal and showed why several of the divisions top clubs are tailing him.

The likes of AC Milan, Juventus and Napoli have been linked to Lewis Ferguson amid reports of £15m valuations but Bologna have already secured their position with the player.
MORE RANGERS STORIES
Tying him down on a new contract until 2027 only last month, it shows the belief the club have in one of the Scottish games most exciting young players.
But Rangers fans who’d urged the Ibrox club to move for Lewis Ferguson may well rue missing out on a homegrown talent who only 12 months ago cost £3m.
Rangers-linked Lewis Ferguson scores away to Juventus
Whilst it remains to be seen if Aberdeen would be willing to do business with Rangers, the fee involved now represents a bargain and it won’t be too long before Bologna cash in.
The sorts of money being bandied around now probably rule Rangers out of the running as Lewis Ferguson’s stock continues to grow with a goal against Juventus.
Given the need for homegrown players for the European squad, Lewis Ferguson’s Italian success story represents a double blow for a Rangers squad increasingly devoid of Scottish-based options.

With Lewis Ferguson the son of former Rangers midfielder Derek and nephew of ex-Ibrox captain Barry, you can never rule out a spiritual homecoming of sorts.
But with the midfielder moving on to better things on the continent, we’re not convinced that will be anytime soon as Rangers probably rue not moving for the player sooner.
