Rangers have looked alarmingly short of options in the forward areas since returning to action with Philippe Clement used to having to make do.
The manager is confident that more additions will be sought and has hinted that Abdallah Sima could be signed and be seen at Ibrox again before the summer transfer window is out.
There are doubts about Sam Lammers future with another loan Rangers star also unsure about where he will be playing his football this season.

Ianis Hagi gets back to work as Rangers return beckons
Despite starring for Romania at the European Championships, Ianis Hagi might not be seen in a Rangers shirt again.
The mercurial playmaker played mainly on the wing for his country and forced his way into the starting XI, where he looked as sharp as he has done for years, described as ‘magic’ by Dion Dublin during BBC’s analysis of his performance against Slovakia.
Looking forward to next season, the 25-year old is back to work as he aims to put his injury troubles behind him and display the sort of form that helped Rangers win the league in 2020/21.
One person who reckons that Hagi could make a positive return is Barry Ferguson:
“I must be honest, I’d almost forgotten all about him.
“It wasn’t until the Euros began in Germany and I saw him representing his country that I remembered Ianis Hagi is still actually a Rangers player.
“He’s been out of the picture for so long that he slipped my mind completely.
“Philippe Clement will have been watching every minute and the manager might have seen enough to think he could have a major asset back on his hands.”
Hagi return makes sense for Rangers
Rangers are short of numbers and quality on the right wing.
There is nobody in the squad capable of playing to the same level that Hagi did in Germany.
His loan spell at Deportivo Alaves might not have gone to plan, however, he has proven that he can handle the pressure of the Ibrox crowd and domestic football.
Even at number 10, only Todd Cantwell of the players available can serious challenge Hagi on their best days to be anywhere near in terms of match winning potential and the ability to make a difference.
He will join up soon after being given time off to recover from the Euros and getting married but Hagi’s attitude can never be questioned and you can guarantee that he will present for training in the best shape possible.
With Clement’s hands tied and options limited, it shouldn’t be long before Hagi is back in Rangers blue.
