Rangers got off to a flyer in the transfer window, however, things have slowed down in recent days and weeks.
Philippe Clement knows that his hands are tied in terms of having to sell players to make space, it just isn’t as easy as “getting rid” though.
He is happy to work with the squad that he has though as he looks to bring the Scottish Premiership title back to Ibrox with one Rangers outcast now back in the famous Light Blue shirt.

Sam Lammers back in the fold for Rangers
Having flopped for the club after his £3m move from Atalanta, Sam Lammers hit the goal trail in the Eredivisie and caught the eye of several teams in his homeland.
Unfortunately for Philippe Clement, his wage demands have all but priced him out of a return home.
The Dutch forward has missed the last two weeks of pre-season training with the senior squad and has been at Auchenhowie with the B team.
A short notice fixture against Leeds United Under-21s has seen his first action of the new campaign drawing a blank despite having a couple of chances to score.
Philippe Clement might have to rely on Rangers misfit
Speaking a few days ago, Clement explained that he can only work with the squad that he is left with when the window shuts – regardless of who is allowed to leave:
“It’s not a point now to rate [the window]. The one thing I have learned is to work hard, work hard with the players who are there and you never know how fast things go.
“You are not in control of that.
“With players you want you first need to convince them to come and then you need to convince their team that you pay the right amount of money.
“You can only make an evaluation on September 1. That is my reality. Sometimes you do business early, sometimes it can be the last day. It depends on the market.
“Also, my experience tells me that in the years you have World Cups or Euros, the market starts slower.
“We have been really busy already with watching a lot of players. Already we have done really good things for the future of the club.”
Clement has yet to give his opinion on Sam Lammers’ future.
Having been left behind in Scotland, and the only player who has seen speculation about his future receive this treatment, it’s fair to assume that the Gers boss expected the 27-year old to depart.
He hit 10 goals and three assists in 18 appearances in the league for Utrecht on loan and proved that he can still operate at a decent level.
At Rangers, he played mainly as a number 10 but in the Netherlands, was higher up.
Could Clement consider a similar role at Rangers?
It is the only position he should play, if he is still at Rangers when the window slams shut.
