On-loan Rangers midfielder Greg Docherty has hit a sweet, top-corner strike for Hibs as they defeated Kilmarnock 2-1 at Rugby Park.
The 23-year-old former Hamilton Accies youngster continued his fine form with the Easter Road club by cutting inside along the Kilmarnock box and firing the ball into the far corner of the net.
It’s Doc’s first goal for the Easter Road club and a continuing sign of the progress the £600k [Sky Sports] January 2018 signing is making across the M8.
The midfielder has repeatedly spoken about his determination to make the grade at Ibrox and his early success on-loan at Hibs will do his chances no harm.
Docherty joined Hibs on-loan on deadline day in the January transfer window and has quickly settled into life in Edinburgh.
Rangers took Swiss/Albanian striker Florian Kamberi the other way with the on-loan Hibs striker acting as a back-up to the injured Jermain Defoe.
Docherty’s impressive spell at Hibs also comes after the midfielder spent an impressive season down at Shrewsbury Town in English League One, where he won the Shropshire club’s player of the season award [Shrewsbury Town].
The youngster has displayed a superb attitude ever since joining Rangers and should he continue to impress at Hibs fans will surely push for the box-to-box midfielder to get a shot at Ibrox.

Docherty isn’t the only Rangers loanee to be impressing for his loan club.
Jamie Murphy scored yet again this weekend as he continues his fine form for Burton Albion.
