On-loan Rangers winger Jamie Murphy continued his fine form for Burton Albion by scoring another goal in the League One side’s latest match against Ipswich Town.

The 30-year-old winger scored the opening goal in the Staffordshire club’s 4-1 defeat to Ipswich Town in this Saturday afternoon’s round of Football League fixtures.

The childhood Rangers fan has now scored four goals in six games since joining the Pirelli Stadium club in January [Soccerbase].

Murphy has been rocked by injury since last season after joining Rangers originally on loan in the winter window of 2018.

His early form for Rangers suggested that the former Motherwell winger might be able to achieve his boyhood dreams of making an impact for the Ibrox club.

But after injuring his anterior cruciate ligament in a 3-1 Betfred Cup win at Kilmarnock in August last season.

The injury has ruled Murphy out ever since but the winger has expressed his own determination to make a success of things at Rangers upon his return [Scottish Sun].

The former Brighton and Hove Albion wide man is doing his chances of success no harm with his performances in the English third tier.

Needing an opportunity after close to 18 months on the sidelines, Murph is certainly proving that he is prepared to work hard for a chance at Rangers.

Should he keep up the form he is displaying down south, then there’s very chance he can come back and get the opportunity to achieve what he has always dreamed of in Glasgow.
