Rangers linked Amer Gojak scores for Bosnia & Herzegovina

One-time reported Rangers link and Dinamo Zagreb midfielder Amer Gojak hit the net for Bosnia & Herzegovina but was powerless to resist as his country fell 4-2 to Armenia.

A Henrikh Mkhitaryan inspired Armenia side ditched the Balkans outfit on home soil to overleaped them into 3rd in Group J of Euro 2020 qualifying.

But Gojak continues to show why the likes of Rangers were linked to the 22-year-old midfielder in the summer.

According to reports in Croatia [Croatian Football News], Rangers were said to be interested in the eight-times capped Bosnia & Herzegovinian midfielder.

A goalscoring midfielder – he has three for Bosnia & Herzegovina – Gojak also made the press recently for helping to fire Dinamo Zagreb to Champions League.

The talented midfielder hit an absolute worldie against Rosenborg to secure the club’s place Europe’s premier competition – and the money that comes with it.

Links to Gojak began after a reported scouting mission at the Croatian Super Cup Final [Daily Record] in the summer.

But the fact that Gojak has previously been valued at £13.5m (€15m) suggests that Rangers would surely have been priced out of a move.

Nonetheless, it’s good to see the club being linked with footballers who are consistently achieving at this level for club and country.

But so long as Gojak turns out for Dinamo, Rangers fans will be cheering against him every time he goes on international duty.

There’s a player currently at Ibrox who’s doing everything he can to finish above the Balkans nation in Euro 2020 qualifying group J.
