Rangers legend Ally McCoist has made a big claim about the last Old Firm match at Ibrox, saying the game was as “one-sided a derby game as I’ve seen in a long time”.
In a clear dig at Rangers’ rivals, McCoist clearly revelled in the utter domination of Celtic in December.

And Rangers’ greatest ever goalscorer believes the Ibrox club can repeat the feat this time around. They just need to match the performance of three months ago.
“They will have to play to the same level as they did in the last Old Firm game at Ibrox where they totally dominated the 90 minutes,” McCoist told talkSPORT, as
“It was as one-sided a derby game as I’ve seen in a long time. Celtic were particularly poor that day and Rangers were excellent.
“I would say Rangers will have to perform at that level to get a result at the weekend but they are capable of it. It’s going to be interesting that’s for sure.”
Rangers fans have been hearing plenty from McCoist in recent weeks. The former player and manager is a prominent character in UK sport and is a regular on Alan Brazil’s Sports Breakfast on talkSPORT radio.

The Rangers legend will be hoping the club can pick up another Old Firm victory in the Glasgow’s Eastend.
